Eternal Youth shows clean pair of heels
Dermot Weld's Eternal Youth took Dundalk's six furlong nursery in the hands of Leigh Roche by three parts of a length from Willie McCreery's McMonagle
Roche, apprenticed to Weld, admitted the race didn't quite go to plan. He said: "We planned to make the running but that didn't work out. He came home well though."
Roche was scoring for the 13th time this season (12 in Ireland and one in England). Byte The Bullet finished third for Emmanuel Hughes. The well-backed Umindme for Denis Cullen came home down the field in eighth.
