Emotional Dream had to work hard to get off the mark in the fillies ten furlong maiden at Roscommon.
Declan McDonogh 's mount chased front-runner Sparkling View but came under pressure over half a mile out.
Kevin Prendergast 's charge stuck to her task gamely, however, and got to the front with a furlong to run.
The 6/4 favourite kept on well in the closing stages to post a four-and-a-quarter length winning margin over Whisper Gently (9/2 into 7/2), who stayed on into second.
The winner was not scoring out of turn having been placed in five of her seven previous starts.
"She was doing nothing upsides so I brought her wide in the straight," revealed McDonogh afterwards.
"The trip was probably on the sharp side for her but she stayed at it well and it's good to get a winning bracket for her."
