Dul lights up under Dalton
Dul Ar An Ol ran out a convincing winner of the Martinstown Oppportunity Handicap Hurdle at Clonmel.
Produced to lead at the second last by Ben Dalton the 5/2 favourite soon had matters in hand.
John McConnell 's charge asserted before the final flight and powered home to the line to record a six-and-a-half length success over Stonehatchetmad
"He's a great old horse. Early in his career he used to get wound up and while he has calmed down now you wouldn't think he was ten," said McConnell.
"He wants this ground. He won't race too much but we might go for a big pot with him. He would get in at the bottom of a race like the MCR Hurdle.
"If we had 30 of these we would be flying."
