Duff at his best
Miss Hyland made it a brave front running performance when taking the concluding Go Racing In Kildare Flat Race in the hands of Andrew Duff.
Duff who made all aboard the Anshan filly had to work hard inside the final furlong to hold off the gaining Local Celebrity and Patrick Mullins by a short head.
Winning trainer Shane Donohue said afterwards: “It’s great for the owner Terry Hyland, he has been with me from the start and it’s his first winner that he bred himself.”
“Andrew [Duff] rode him the last day and he told me to switch him to a left hand track. He’s not quick but he’s a tough as old boots.”
