Mark Enright has featured amongst the winners in recent times and last season's Leading Conditional Jockey showed why he was in such demand last season with a strong ride on Dromnea winner of the opening Festival Party Pack From E21 Maiden Hurdle at Punchestown today.
Enright, who partnered 34 winner last season, has been blighted by three separate injuries this season (fractured vertabrae, a fractured collarbone and injured shoulder) but moved on to the 16 winner mark for the term on the Mouse Morris trained runner, who held off the challenge of Blow The Doors Off on the run-in.
Afterwards Morris stated “it's not before time that he's won but he'll make a chaser and two miles on that ground is probably far enough for him; Mark (Enright) said he was crying out for a fence.”
