Jockey Jamie Codd has made an excellent start in his bid to retain his Champion Amateur Jockeys’ title and partnered his fourth win of the new campaign when steering the Jim Dreaper trained Sizing Solution to win the Dan Linehan's Bar And B & B Hunters Chase at Killarney today.
Codd was at his strongest on the gelding who in the end scored a length and a half win over Minella For Value and following the race Dreaper stated “that was a great bonus as the rain wouldn't suit him but it's not like winter ground at Naas or Navan.
"Jamie knows him well now, and he arrived at the right time and it did the trick. There is another hunter chase at Listowel next month and he might go for that even though it's over three miles which is a bit far."
