The second last hurdle in the Carraigavantry Maiden Hurdle was omitted after Rate Field departed on the previous circuit, giving rider, Jack Doyle, a very nasty looking tumble.

Medical Officer, Dr John Downey reported afterwards: "Jack will be fine but he has gone to hospital for a check-up."
