Down Royal now soft

There has been 12mm of rain overnight at Downroyal ahead of today's meeting, which houses the WKD Hurdle.
It is currently raining at the northern venue with 5mm of rain expected to fall but is due to clear by lunch time, with the possibility of scattered showers thereafter.
The Grade 2 race features beaten Triumph Hurdle-favourite Zanahiyr and Noel Meade's smart Cask Mate and is one of seven races on today's card, which is the prelude to Saturday's Grade 1 meeting featuring Gold Cup winner Minella Indo.
Following 4mm of rain Naas remains heavy, and the track is currently raceable, ahead of the Flat finale on Sunday.
There is light rain in the area at present but it is due to clear this morning.
The forecast is for the possibility of showers overnight, mainly dry tomorrow. Rain is predicted on Saturday night with showers on Sunday (up to 10mm approx). The situation will be monitored.
Following 2mm of rain, the ground Cork remains yielding to soft, soft in places on the hurdle track and soft on the chase course.
It is set to be mainly dry today and tomorrow with rain moving in overnight on Saturday into Sunday morning.
