Time To Work came from a long way back to provide owner Patricia Sloan with a double at her local track when winning the Grade C Billecart-Salmon Handicap Hurdle at Down Royal today for trainer Gordon Elliott and jockey Danny Mullins. Abou Ben was an early faller at the second and, crucially as it transpired, badly hampered Thomas Edison Patiently ridden Time To Work made his way to the front after the last and in the end scored a two lengths win over Foildubh with a length and a quarter back to the luckless Thomas Edison.
Afterwards Elliott stated “I was very worried about the ground (for Time To Work) and we were lucky with Thomas Edison making a mistake (badly hampered). They're good owners and it's nice to win a big pot at their local track.”
Sloan's Guitar Pete earlier won the opener on the card.
