Doran not Undone by last flight mistake

He may have got the last 'wrong' but that didn't stop Undone getting the better of the front-running Sky Pilot in a dour conclusion to the Bet With The Bookies Maiden Hurdle at Downpatrick.
Sporting the Gigginstown House Stud silks, Mikey Doran had to get very serious with the brother to fellow Paul Nolan runner, Westmeath, and in the end he pulled out that bit extra to beat Sky Pilot by half a length.
Nolan's brother James said of Undone: "Nina (Carberry) said she didn't dislike him and that he was a trier after riding him in a bumper last time. It was a wrong decision to run him there as he is not a bumper horse. His run in Punchestown before that was respectable.
"It's nice to win one with him. Mikey said he would have won three or four lengths if he hadn't hit the last. With the rising ground it's not easy to get your rhythm back.
"He'll stay on the go over the summer and he'll be better on better ground. He might pick up a summer handicap over a trip."
