Dibayani was produced with a well-timed run by Declan McDonogh to land the King George V Cup at Leopardstown.
The Aga Khan colt chased down 6/4 favourite Count Of Limonade inside the final furlong to record a three-parts victory in the 1m3f event.
The Michael Halford-trained son of Shamardal was no match for Leading Light at Navan last time but appreciated the faster ground today and handled the step up in trip well.
“It was a good performance. Everything went to plan. He settled well, they went an even gallop, he loved the ground and got the trip,” said Halford.
“It took him a while to learn to settle but you couldn't fault him today. It work out terrifically and he quickened up lovely.
“He'll stick to these black-type races and could even go another furlong. Now we know he settles staying should be no problem.”
