After being controversial disqualified at Killarney last month, Positive Vibes got a deserved win to his name (second career success) as he took the last at Tipperary this evening, the Dan Dooley Ford Centre Ladies Riders Handicap.

The Arthur Moore trained, four-year-old son of Nayef, acted up in the parade ring before the race, getting loose before being quickly caught, but he behaved himself where it matter most as he stayed on best inside the final furlong to record a cool half a length success under Jane Mangan. All About Alfie (12/1) put in a brave front-running performance but he couldn’t hold off the winner, and he had to settle for second under Adrianne Foley for her father Tom. Coolfighter finished three parts of a length back in third under Aishling O’Brien for Tony Mullins at 9/1, while the 11/4 favourite, Greenbelt Star finished fifth under Kate Harrington for her mother Jessica.

Jane Mangan said afterwards: "He is a tricky customer but he has ability and he did it a bit snug.

"Arthur (Moore) was confident beforehand and he deserved to win."
