Delight for McCreery as Kanes passes post in front
Kanes Pass (far side) gets the better of Soverign Secure as they leave La Canaada behind

Fergal Lynch really gets horses to run for him and the Northern Irish pilot got a sweet tune from Kanes Pass to land the Follow Tipperary On Facebook Handicap.
A daughter of Clodovil, Kanes Pass was noted going well from the quarter mile pole and once asked to extend in the final furlong the three-year-old found the necessary to beat Sovereign Secure by three parts of a length.
Kanes Pass didn't go unbacked, finding 5/1 from 13/2 on track, much to the relief of winning trainer Willie McCreery who explained: "I'm delighted to get a winner for the owners, Pat and Betty Cosgrave. They bred the filly too and Pat is a member of the St Kevins GAA club in Staplestown and he is a great Kildare supporter – his son-in-law is a selector.
"The filly is tough and I'm some trainer to have been running her in Dundalk given that she's gone and won there on that ground!
"I was that keen to get a winner for the owners that I even considered bringing her cross-channel for a claimer. Anyway we've a win on the board now and where she goes next I don't know." (TW & EM)
