Young Galway apprentice Evan Daly rode his second winner when getting John Murphy's Appointment Only (25/1) home in front in the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Apprentice Handicap at Dundalk.
Another talented teenager to emerge off the pony racing scene, Daly is attached to the Ger Lyons yard, and he won on Glenburnie's Roibeard at Fairyhouse in June.
Here aboard handicap first-timer, Appointment Only, Daly forced the Armada Racing Partnership's three-year-old home by a head and the same from the older and vastly more experienced pair, Dark Alliance and Fairy Foxglove
English raider Nona Blu had no more to offer from over a furlong out and he eventually beat just one home.
D.W. O'Connor, rider of Nona Blu (GB), trained by Michael Wigham (in GB), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount travelled well but faded in the straight.
