Current Resession wins Naas finale

The Philip Rothwell trained Current Resession landed the concluding Ladbrokes Cheltenham Bumper Series Bumper at Naas today, winning well under promising conditional jockey Declan Bates.

Afterwards Rothwell stated “I'm delighted for Current Resession's owner, Joan Lambert, who has two horses in training with me but that is her first winner with me.”

He added “Current Resession is a half-brother to Weapons Amnesty and we bought him for Gns15,000 as a 4yo. Today's bumper was always the plan and we'll go for a maiden hurdle next.”
