Killer Crow completed a first and last race double for champion trainer Willie Mullins at Cork when prominent throughout for a convincing win in the bumper at odds of 10/11. Shamsikhan got the afternoon off to a good start for the Closutton team when just holding on in the opening maiden hurdle but Killer Crow was in control inside the final furlong.
The Presenting gelding, sporting the familiar Gigginstown colours and third on his debut at Leopardstown in January, was driven out by Patrick Mullins to beat Starry Knight by over four lengths. Investmentsuccess was a further neck back in third.
Willie Mullins is away in Dubai supervising preparations for Simenon and Patrick Mullins said, “I was very disappointed with him at Leopardstown but I didn’t make enough use of him.
“The inside track at Leopardstown can be very fast, and he’s a stayer for the future.”
