Cristy's Call brings up Carberry's double

In-form trainer Gavin Cromwell saddled Cristy's Call to take The Racing All The Way Handicap Hurdle in Downpatrick.
The 6/1 shot made progress into fourth before the second last. At the last he disputed the lead with Santo Prince before staying on best up the hill to win by four and three quarter lengths.
Santo Prince took second at 12/1. The 3/1 favourite, Broughtons Bandit for Gordon Elliott, was the same margin away in third.
Gavin Cromwell said: "I thought that ground was a little slow for him. Gordon (Elliott) fancied his horse but I liked my chance. I'll keep him going in and around that trip and on fast ground."
Cristy's Call evidently enjoys the north as his other success came in a Down Royal handicap hurdle last August.
This brought up a double for jockey Carberry who won the previous race aboard Be Seeing You
Cromwell landed two wins in the last week with chaser As De Pique. His last three runners have all won.
