Soon-to-be-licensed Joseph O'Brien was responsible for another winner at Naas today as his Credit The Giver credited his father Aidan O'Brien with a double on the day when defying top weight in the Punchestown Preview Evening Handicap.
The winner was ridden to victory by Joseph's younger brother Donnacha O'Brien and following the win, Joseph O'Brien stated “he was consistent last year, likes getting a bit of cover and got a bit of luck today.
“I hope the handicapper isn't too hard on him. I don't know how many times it's going to work out that way for him but it's good to get the win.”
For the record, Aidan O'Brien's other winner on the day was promising Roly Poly in the juvenile fillies maiden.
