The Stuart Crawford-trained pair of Fine Rightly and Baby Bach are among 40 horses left in the Coral Scottish Grand National on Saturday following the five-day confirmation stage.
Fine Rightly, a dual Grade Three winner over fences, had his last race in Scotland when fourth in a Kelso handicap, while his stable companion was seen most recently finishing sixth in the Ulster National. Patrick Griffin's Man With Van is also in contention for the Ayr showpiece but was pulled up in the 2015 renewal.
Last year's winner Vicente and 2014 hero Al Co have stood their ground.
The Paul Nicholls-trained Vicente is on a retrieval mission after only getting as far as the first fence in the Randox Health Grand National at Aintree. Nicholls can also call on the well-fancied Arpege D'Alene, Vivaldi Collonges and Virak.
Peter Bowen's Al Co also has to bounce back from being pulled up on his latest start at Newbury last month. His trainer has a second string to his bow in Buachaill Alainn.
The weights have gone up 5lb and the handicap is now headed by Yala Enki from the Venetia Williams stable.
Ante-post favourite Premier Bond has stood his ground and his trainer Nicky Henderson has also left in Lessons In Milan and Sugar Baron.
Among others in the mix are Southfield Royale, Seldom Inn, Vintage Clouds and Missed Approach.
