Coole Avenue leads over the last for Joe Holly

A drop in class proved just the tonic for Coole Avenue as the ten-year-old gelding returned to the winners’ enclosure after a gap of well over a year in the Cashel Beginners Chase.
The 5/1 chance was also providing rider Joe Holly with a welcome change of fortune as it was his first winner in over four months, and his 15th career success.
The Tom Cooper-trained gelding, gaining his fourth win under rules, relished this two and three quarter mile stamina test as he drew right away on the run-in to score by over six lengths. Stoney took the runner-up spot with Shamiran who made a terrible blunder before halfway, another three and three quarter lengths further back in third.
Jumping was again the name of the game in this beginners event as Kashline was still in with a squeak in third when falling at the last.
