J.P. McManus' Dinoblue (11/4f) following up a recent Fairyhouse Easter win with another festival success today, landing Punchestown's Pigsback.com Handicap Chase for jockey Mark Walsh and champion trainer Willie Mullins.
The daughter of Doctor Dino, runner-up in March's Grand Annual Chase at Cheltenham's, today led after jumping the last and scored comfortably from long-time leader, and UK visitor, Douglas Talking
It was trainer Mullins' eighth winner of the week, with his assistant David Casey commenting “she ran in Cheltenham, ran in Fairyhouse and has just been freshened up in between. She looked good today and is improving.
“She’s tough and I’m delighted the way she put her head down from the second last. She’s a brilliant jumper and had a really good jump at the last and galloped all the way to the line.
“They went a real strong pace, and it looks like she will get further. There are plenty of options open for her. She’ll probably have a break now and we’ll see what next year brings. If she improves a little bit over the summer, it would be great.”
