Concordin another for in-form connections

Robert Tyner and Phillip Enright can do very little wrong at present and they struck again when Concordin made it back-to-back winners for J P McManus (after Drumlee in the previous heat) at Navan in the Garlow Cross Handicap Hurdle.
Lemonfield point-to-point is on again tomorrow and it was at that Limerick venue a year ago that Concordin last returned to the number one berth.
They went pretty fast in this two and a half miler and not many of them had a whole lot more to offer at the business end.
However, the successful Gold Well gelding, here contesting his first handicap, found what was required on the run-in to beat 33/1 shot Vinnie Trenta (mistake last), by a length and three parts.
"It was nice to see him coming back to form. He had been very disappointing but he jumped better today," commented Tyner.
As well as leading the way 'between the flags,' Tyner has also saddled winners such as Knock Beauty and Way Up In The Air in the last nine days.
Enright rode that pair and he was also aboard Jimmy Mangan's scorer, Letter Of Credit, at Thurles on Thursday. (AM & EM)
