Araglen Lad and Robbie Colgan are clear at the last

Jumping was the name of the game as Araglen Lad made all in the Irish Racing Yearbook Handicap Chase to provide rider Robbie Colgan, successful earlier in the handicap hurdle on Balrath Hope with a double.
The Jimmy Lambe-trained gelding set a strong pace in front but a number of rivals were cueing up to challenge approaching the straight.
However Moiqen departed at the third last when looking a threat, and then 13/8 favourite was the closest pursuer when exiting two out.
This left Colgan’s mount, a well-backed 5/1 chance, clear to score by 15 lengths from For A Finish with Moncherie back in third.
