Close Review (9/1) came through to mow down Hellofado and Boher Call to win the extended two mile three handicap chase in Limerick for Richie Rath and Mikey Fogarty.
The veteran 12-year-old raced in fifth as 13-year-old Toomdeely led the field with half a mile and two fences to jump.
Toomdeely began to back-pedal on the home turn as Hellofado and Boher Call assumed the lead. Close Review moved into third but Fogarty started to push him along. He drew his whip before the second-last and his horse started to really pick up upon landing.
He jumped the last with a narrow advantage from Luke Dempsey's mount Hellofado (33/1) and kept up the gallop to score by half a length from the rallying runner-up who raced track-width apart.
Boher Call (5/1) was six and a half lengths back in third under Mark Enright.
"Richard is just back from his honeymoon and I think he's still feeling the effects!" said owner Gerry Corrigan.
"This is one of this lad's favourite tracks. He's 12 but he feels like a four-year-old.
"He might get a couple of weeks break now and we might come back here again - we'll maybe have to!
"He battled really well there today. The ground was just a fraction too good for him last time in Down Royal."
This was his second win from four runs in Limerick. The other win came in May last year over this trip.
