A son of Galileo out of a Group 1 winner in Airwave, Orator took seven goes to win a maiden but he achieved the breakthrough in style in the mile and quarter contest for three-year-olds and up at Clonmel.
Registering his 33rd success of the campaign, Connor King soon had David Wachman's heavily-invested-upon 30/100 chance in front.
It was over in a couple of strides from the quarter mile pole as Orator stretched on to very easily defeat moderate opposition, headed-up by the second home, Palace Of Winds She chased home at a distance of seven and a half lengths.
King disclosed of the Michael Tabor-owned victor: "He jumped out smart. He wasn't doing a whole pile in front but he kept going well. It's great to get the win today and things are going unbelievably well for me.
"The ground is lovely here – there's no firm in it." (TW & EM)
