The Paddy Fegan trained Melbourne Lady has her sights somewhat optimistically set on the Cheltenham festival following a win in the 0-123 rated O'Kelly Brothers Demolition Mares Handicap Hurdle at Limerick today, scoring for colourful Castleblaney owner Denis Robb and jockey Mattie Bowes.
Melbourne Lady was all out in the closing stages for her neck win over Dantes Firth and while Armagh based Fegan was on lead-up duties, her owner/breeder was on hand to brief the press.
Robb, from the same Co Monaghan town as the late Oliver Brady, later revealed "she was supposed to go to Leopardstown on Monday and if she doesn't have one more run, will go straight to the Cheltenham festival."
