Carroll gets a nice tune out of Girl
Andy Oliver sent out his 17th winner of the campaign when Jazz Girl landed the mile and a quarter Fairyhouse Family Day Race.
Gary Carroll sent the filly to the front about two furlongs from home and, despite wandering about a bit in the centre of the course, she knuckled down well inside the final furlong to hold fellow 8/1 chance Sadler's Mark by a length.
Carroll said, “She had the rail to help her when winning at Tramore last month, and was a bit green out in the centre of the track. She's still learning but stayed on nicely.”
