Willie and David Mullins completed a quick Fairyhouse double when Cadmium justified odds-on favouritism in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase.
Thirty five minutes on from their feature race success with Bellshill in the At The Races Bobbyjo Chase, the uncle and nephew team were hopeful of following up with Navan third placer Cadmium.
In the extended two mile one furlong contest the 4/5 chance tracked the leader before making headway to lead entering the straight.
Cadmium travelled well and was two lengths up at the last, before keeping on well on the run-in to see off Veinard (5/2 second favourite) by five and a half lengths. Highland Fling was one-paced in third when falling at the last.
"David gave him a very confident ride. It looked a very fast pace but he jumped immaculately," said Mullins.
"The first race you'd think about is the Ryanair Gold Cup here at Easter.
"We might try and find a novice over two for him before that."
