Second earlier on the gambled-on Caesar's Comet in the 7.05, Ronan Whelan rounded off the night on a winner at Down Royal, aboard Cache Queen in the Magners Outcider Handicap. Rocky Blue flew home, but not in time to get the Conor Hughes-owned and Ado McGuinness-trained Killarney victor, Cache Queen. A neck split them with three and a half lengths back to New Vocation in third.
"She got a little bit idle in front but he was very happy with her and she has won two on the bounce for us now," said McGuinness.
"She is after booking her ticket for Galway next Friday night. She's on the team! She was a bit low in the ratings but that should put her up now in the 0-70 on Friday night so she'll head there. We'll run her over the mile and 100 yards there.
"We are very happy and hopefully they will stay going well next week."
