Butler shines on Bound
Heavenly Bound came with a strong surge to claim the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle at Kilbeggan.
Shane Butler got a good tune from his mount to lead at the final flight and go on to beat Dashing Ruby by a cosy four-lengths.
The winner was gaining reward for his consistency, having been placed on his last three starts.
"Shane said he was always travelling pretty well. He liked the ground which was a big help as a lot of the others didn't," said trainer Seamus Fahey.
"We were going to give him a break but then I saw the weather forecast and this opportunity so I said he could go to the field some other time.
"He'll probably go to Listowel."
