- Burke picks up two day ban
Burke picks up two day ban
The Stewards enquired into 2 incidents in the early stages of this race involving Send Me Home ridden by S.H James, unplaced, Diamond Fire ridden by I.J Brennan, placed fourth, Aye Aye Definitely ridden by C.D Allen, Bathwick Emma ridden by Julie Burke and Charney ridden by Brian Cooper, all unplaced, where it appeared Charney, Aye Aye Definitely and Send Me Home all suffered interference.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, in the presence of Ms Sheena Collins, representing Mr Kevin Prendergast, master of Brian Cooper.
Having viewed the video of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion Julie Burke had ridden carelessly and they suspended her for two racedays (tbc).
Furthermore, they advised Julie Burke concerning the accuracy of her evidence. I.J Brennan was given the benefit of the doubt in this incident and no further action was taken.
