Bullet kills off Ceol Rua's bid
Sugar Bullet a point-to-point winner in her time with Gerry Neilan in Kilcolgan, County Galway and still owned by the same Galway grouping, the Just Friends Syndicate, landed the concluding Become A Go Racing In Kildare Member (Pro/Am) INH Flat Race, just coming off best in an exciting finish with the well-backed Ceol Rua (4s into 5/2).
Nina Carberry 's mount then had to survive a steward's enquiry as herself and Patrick Mullins' mount Ceol Rua briefly came close when settling down to battle it out but there was never much prospect of a change in the placings. There was a head between the first two at the line.
Winning trainer Dessie Hughes said of the Witness Box mare, who ran a cracker in a Navan hurdle before this: "She is very honest and went on the ground."
