Sales bound Spring Focus gained a maiden win in the Ham Sandwich Handicap at Leopardstown today to provide his trainer Jim Bolger and jockey Kevin Manning with the second leg of a double at the Dublin venue.
The son of Intense Focus moved to the front under a furlong out and kept up the gallop for a length and three quarters win over Mr Snagsby
The winner is sure to attract plenty of jumping interest at the Sales next week and Bolger, who combined with Manning to win the opener with Pleascach later stated “he (Spring Focus) got a good pace which suited and is now going over to the Newmarket Horses In Training Sales on Tuesday.”
