Beau grabs victory in three-way thriller
Bob Le Beau stuck his head in front close home to land the Ladbrokes.com Handicap at the Curragh.
Shane Foley produced the Big Bad Bob gelding with a strong run inside the final furlong and he got to the front in the dying strides in a tight finish. Ghetto Gospel was beaten just a head while it was the same again back to Musical Rain in third as the trio flashed past the post.
"I think we need to go further. He was flying at the end and I didn't think he'd get out," said winning trainer Jessica Harrington.
"He's tough. He'll stay a mile-and-a-half but there were no races for him this weekend.
"There has been nothing for him since he won. He really needs a mile-and-a-half.
"I suppose we might go to Galway with him now."
