Beachdale makes it two from two over fences

Having won in impressive fashion on his debut over fences at Roscommon, Beachdale Lad followed up in style this evening by taking the Tyrrellspass Novice Chase under Mark Bolger for Jessica Harrington.
The six-year-old son of Carroll House made all at Roscommon and the 5/4 favourite hit the front after the sixth here.
Although he wasn’t entirely fluent over the third last, he jumped two out well and asserted away from the last, keeping on strongly to score easily by fifteen lengths. Six Stone Ned was second at 9/2 under Davy Condon for Noel Meade while Datokepe was ten lengths back in third under Mark Enright for Dessie Hughes at 5/1.
Jessica Harrington said afterwards: "He is very good. He wings fences when he is on and he has the scope to do it. He puts the others under pressure with his jumping.
"He may go to Killarney now, I think there is a suitable race for him there. We will look at wherever the ground is good."
