Barack - yes he can!
The Frank Ennis trained Barack landed the feature event, the Listed Glencairn Stakes at Leopardstown this evening, narrowly getting the better of runner-up Duff at the line.
Barack, under joint-Champion Apprentice Ben Curtis, stayed on strongly to deny Duff at the line, with Ennis later saying “that was the plan!”
“Barack is only a pony but is a game little fella! He’s rated 103 and even if he finished second in those races, its better than winning an ordinary race. He’s better running in similar races instead of in handicaps from a mark of 105/6 – we’ll keep him on the go and try to get a few quid with him!”
