Strong-travelling Banntown Girl drew right away in the hands of Jody Townend to take the ladies' bumper for mares in Roscommon.

The 15/8 chance made her move to close on Agritime with over a half a mile to travel. She tanked upsides the leader and eased away from her with over two furlongs to go.

The Stowaway six-year-old was clear in the final furlong and arrived at the winning post seven lengths ahead of 11/8 favourite Agritime who had no answers once passed. Faith Du Val was a further three parts of a length back in third at 10/1.

Trainer Sonny Carey said: “That was great, she's not a bad mare. It's great for her owners, they are great men and they bred her as well. They'll enjoy this and I'm delighted for them.

“We might go for a mares' maiden hurdle while we have her fit. We'll get her home, make sure she's alright and go from there.

“She wants a bit of give in it as she's a fine big mare. She jumps brilliantly.”
