Baily View Fortunate at Naas
The complexion of the Racing Again At Naas On 4th January Hurdle changed at the second last when morning market-mover and favourite, Pesoto fell having made the running, bringing down the gamble of the contest on course, Dancing Tornado who had looked all over a winner.
This mayhem left Baily View in front and Paddy Flood's mount stayed on dourly to account for Clan Tara by five and a half lengths. Successful trainer, Mouse Morris said of his 20/1 winner: "He had his chance, he ran well at Gowran on ground that was too fast, he'd prefer some cut. He''ll make a nice chaser, he is crying out for fences but we'll wait until next year before we start him off over them." (EM)
