Await The Dawn scores impressive Kilternan win
Aidan O’Brien completed an opening race double at Leopardstown today when his Await The Dawn was an impressive nine lengths winner of the Group 3 Kilternan Stakes, under stable jockey Johnny Murtagh.
The son of Giant’s Causeway drew clear in the straight before scoring an eased down win over nearest pursuer South Easter
Afterwards O’Brien stated “Await The Dawn is an exciting horse and can go anywhere from here. He was very impressive winning his maiden last year but I probably travelled him too quickly to England subsequently. He has loads of class and Johnny (Murtagh) always liked him a lot.”
