Ask Dad all the rage at Dundalk

The Damian English trained Ask Dad has been the subject of sustained support this morning for the Crowne Plaza Hotel Race & Stay Handicap at Dundalk this evening.
Ask Dad was priced up at 20/1 by Coral and 16/1 by most other bookmakers this morning but his price quickly shortened and he is now best priced at 6/1 with Paddy Power.
The 4-y-o gelded son of Intikhab was twice successful during the summer of 2012 when trained by Richard Hannon, winning his maiden at Salisbury before landing a Novice race at Windsor.
Ask Dad then has a brief spell with Tommy Carmody before going back to Britain for two runs under the care of Michael Dods. He joined English at the beginning of this year and has only shown glimpses of his former ability in 17 starts.
Once rated in the high 90s the 4-y-o has slipped down the ratings and runs off a career low mark of 55 this evening.
English has done well with a small string of horses since taking out a licence in 2011. His most notable horses have been the multiple winners Cash Or Casualty and Enigma Code
Rory Cleary will partner Ask Dad at Dundalk this evening where the gelding has been perfectly drawn in stall one for this two bend sprint.
