Larne, Co Antrim based trainer Stuart Crawford made the near 10 hour round-trip to Cork today a successful one, claiming the featured Grade 3 Imperial Call Chase with stable star Fine Rightly
Ridden by Fine Rightly, third in the Irish Gold Cup two starts ago, comfortably justified 4/5 favouritism when beating five rivals.
Afterwards Crawford stated “he's been great for us this season and is learning to settle. The step up in trip is no problem and I'm hoping he'll be an out and out galloper but he also has a touch of class.
"Cheltenham was too quick for him and I'm happy he's won today. We won't be greedy and there isn't a whole lot more for him this season and that's why I was keen to come here for this as the ground suited.
"He could run in the Scottish National if there's some moisture otherwise he could be left off early and brought back in early."
"It's my first winner here and I might come back - it took just under five hours to come but will be shorter going home!"
