Enda Bolger recorded his fourth win since Christmas, as Federici followed up on his recent Limerick success by taking the Ani-Pets Veterinary Clinic Novice Handicap Hurdle under Adrian Heskin.
The five-year-old son of Overbury scored at Limerick on Sunday at the odds of 11/2, and he was sent off the 13/8 favourite to score again this afternoon.
Prominent throughout, the John Glews owned victor hit the front before the second last and he went clear before the final flight, keeping on well from there to score comfortably by five and a half lengths. Pleased As Punch took second under Mark Walsh for Austin Leahy at 7/2, while Billybuster could only manage a well-beaten fourth of the seven at 9/4.
Adrian Heskin said afterwards: "He won well, he is nice horse and he will improve.
"I would say he will have a break now and he will strengthen up. He jumps very well and he just needs time."
