There are four meetings still to come at Dundalk in the run-up to Christmas with a three-week interval to follow Friday week's meeting at the popular Louth venue.
Flat racing will then resume in Ireland on Friday January 12th.
The first of eight races on the Polytrack today gets under way at 3.15pm and an interesting two-year-old maiden at 4.45 has Joseph O'Brien's Perretti and Jack Davison's McVay towards the head of the betting with Genesis a non-runner.
The market principals both showed promise on debut at this venue and the McVay makes a quick return after finishing fourth on Friday. Seamie Heffernan, who rode a double at the track last Wednesday, is an interesting jockey booking for the U S Navy Flag colt who is out of a half-sister to his trainer's Group 2 winner Mooneista.
