After his Grade 3 success at the weekend with I’m A Game Changer, Andy McNamara registered another winner when Just Another Lady (9/1) got off the mark in the Fermoy Handicap Hurdle.
Placed in two of her previous three outings, the daughter of Beneficial led on the run to the second last and stayed on well to beat the 10/3 favourite Balkos by three and a quarter lengths. Monty’s Mission (14/1) and Antigua Son (16/1) completed the placings.
The winning trainer had not made the journey from his base near Athboy Co.Meath and winning rider Peterjon Carberry commented after his second winner of the season: “"I learned a lot off her the last day and I was really confident of her staying the 2m4f so there was no problem kicking on.
"Maybe she looked around a little in front but she did it well.
"She is really progressing and has done nothing wrong on her form and is consistent so was entitled to win.
"I ride out for Andy once a week."
