The opening Your Local Value Centre Handicap at Dundalk this evening went to the Andy Slattery trained An Saighduir, under Declan McDonogh.
The son of Acclamation, successful now on three of his last four starts, led under two furlongs out before staying on well for a comfortable win over Almadaa
Afterwards Slattery said “An Saighduir keeps doing it! His action is better this year and he is getting back to his two year old form - hopefully he can translate this form back to the turf although the handicapper is pushing him up.”
