Sheila Ahern teamed up with Sean Aherne to land the ladies handicap hurdle at Thurles for the second year running. Chosen Hour did the business for the pairing this time when running out a convincing four-length winner of the two-mile contest.
The Well Chosen gelding was prominent throughout and hit the front before the third last.
He galloped on strongly from before the final flight to land the spoils at odds of 7/2. It was his second success from two runs since joining the Conna handler.
"He had good bumper runs on good ground so I was happy enough coming here. He is going the right way and we're happy enough at the moment,” said the winning trainer.
"He proved in Limerick he could handle soft ground so that's handy and we'll go for something similar next and he seems to be ok over two miles.
"It's a nice tonic for Maggie Erangey who owns the horse but who hasn't been well recently."
The pair had won last year's renewal with Analyse That.
