Adapt To Dan led home a 1-2-3-4 of claimed horses in Dundalk's opening Irishinjuredjockeys.com Claiming Race today, with €36,000 changing hands between the four purchases.

The son of Dandy Man was slowly into stride in the 13 runner race but was produced by apprentice Jack Kearney to lead a furlong out, and score by a length and three parts from Cedar Rapids

It was 16 year old Kearney's third winner, meaning his claim was reduced to 7lbs, while six year old Adapt To Dan was himself claimed for €10,000 by Dr David Adam, to be trained by Lee Smyth.

It was Adapt To Dan's fourth career success and a second in as many months for winning trainer Mark Fahey, who, following the race, had reported “I wasn't expecting it, at the weights, but a couple of the fancied ones didn't run to their marks.

“He's a good consistent horse and if someone gets him, he'll be a right good fun horse for them. If not, we'll be happy to bring him home.

“Jack is very good for his 10lb claim.”

Runner-up Cedar Rapids was also claimed for €12,000 by James McAuley, third-placed Stardayz went to trainer Pat Martin for €6,000 while fourth-placed No Patience was picked up by John McConnell for €8,000.
