Academy Sir Harry Lands Gamble
Academy Sir Harry landed a gamble in fair style in the 'For Auction' Novice Hurdle, assuming the mantle of favouritism at 9/4 (from 7/2), and he justified that support when staying on strongly to head Fisher Bridge on the run-in, going on to beat that fellow by one and three parts of a length.
Barry Geraghty was aboard the Eoin Griffin-trained gelding, who again showed the right attitude after his battling success at Fairyhouse.
The son of Dushyantor also won his bumper at Fairyhouse and he'll next be going back to that Meath venue for the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle.
Griffin said: "He'll need further in time but he is tough and his heart is in the right place. He wants the ground a bit better. I'm delighted for Joe Comerford who owns him, he leaves it all up to me and I just ring him to tell him when the horses are running."
Boylesports went 20/1 about Academy Sir Harry for both the Supreme Novices' Hurdle and the Ballymore Properties Novice Hurdle.(EM)
