He Is Top Class was always going to find it difficult to live up to his name but he was able to supply his rider Kevin Sexton with a double at Roscommon this evening.
Sexton, earlier on the mark on John Nicholson's Up The Hill got Donie Hassett's He Is Top Class home by half a length from Bank The Bucks in a race where less than four lengths covered the first seven home.
"It happens so seldom and it was badly needed. He stayed at it well and please God he will roll on to Galway or Ballinrobe where we will try and find something similar for him," remarked Hassett.
M.J. Ferris, rider of Daigreen trained by G. Webb, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost shoes in running.
