Sean O’Keeffe completed a 675/1 double at Ballinrobe when winning the Sheridan Electric Mares Maiden Hurdle on Famous Escape
As was the case with O’Keeffe’s earlier winner, Our Nancy Famous Escape went off at 25/1 but she belied those odds with a fifteen length success over Will You Win
Owned, trained and bred in County Kilkenny by Paul McEnery, the five-year-old impressed O’Keeffe.
“She’s improving and like the other filly (Our Nancy) she learned and came on from her last run," he said.
“She jumped really well and travelled through the race well. She impressed me.”
Wexford man O’Keeffe has had a couple of doubles before.
There was a nice Irish Field feature recently on the McEnerys, and Paul’s brother John, now ITBA chairman.
The family of course bred the legendary Red Rum.
